About Wooden Ties
What are wooden ties made from?
Our ties are handcrafted from sustainably sourced and reclaimed wood. We use traditional woodworking techniques including marquetry and inlay — they are not laser cut or etched. Because we use real wood, no two ties are ever exactly the same.
Are wooden ties actually wearable?
Absolutely! Our wooden ties are lightweight and flexible — they flex and curve naturally with your body. They feel no different to wearing a regular tie. Simply pop the elastic over your head, tighten, and you're good to go.
Can wooden ties be worn by women?
Of course! Wooden ties and bow ties are for everyone. We have plenty of female customers who love wearing them.
Sizing & Fit
What size are the wooden ties?
Our wooden ties are one size fits all. The elastic neck loop is fully adjustable — if it's too large, simply tie a knot to shorten it.
What size are the wooden bow ties?
The ribbon and clasp on all our bow ties is completely adjustable to fit any neck size.
What size are the kids' wooden ties?
Our kids' ties are 35cm long — specially scaled down for little ones. They also come with an elastic neck loop that simply pops over the head.
Wearing & Care
How do I put on a wooden tie?
Simply loop the elastic over your head and tighten under your collar. No knots, no fuss! The tie will naturally flex and follow the contours of your body.
How do I care for my wooden tie?
Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Fold away after use and your tie will spring back into shape without creases, ready for its next outing. Do not submerge in water.
Can I use beard oil or other products near the tie?
Yes — our wooden ties are safe to use alongside beard oils and grooming products.

Yes! We ship worldwide 12 months a year. Free UK shipping is available on orders over £25.

I am based in the EU — do I have a right of withdrawal?
Yes. If you are based in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights.
To exercise this right, simply email us at info@woodenties.co.uk with your full name and order reference number, clearly stating you wish to withdraw. We will confirm your request within 1 business day. Items must be returned within 14 days of notifying us, unworn and in their original packaging. We will issue a full refund — including standard delivery costs — within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
