Wooden Ties is committed to protecting your privacy and security. We will ensure that any information we obtain and use will always be held, used and transferred in compliance with all applicable data protection rules. In particular, once you have registered with Wooden Ties, we will never pass your details to anyone else without asking you first. For example, we often run competitions where we will ask you if you would like to receive information from the company sponsoring the prize. Only when you explicitly tell us that you do want to receive such information will we pass on your details.

We do collate statistics about site traffic, sales and other commercial information which we pass on to trusted third parties to assist us in improving the service we provide to you. If we change our policy on disclosure to others, we will inform you and give you the choice of opting out.

Your payment and order details are usually sent to us across a secure connection that uses a 128 bit certificate. This means that the information is encrypted and cannot be read by anyone other than ourselves. You can see that the pages are secure because the address in the address bar changes from being http:// to https://. You will also see a padlock symbol or key in the bottom bar of your browser.

Some computers prevent this secure connection and we provide a less secure connection to customers who encounter this problem. If required you can use our standard server to place an order. Although this will resolve the problem, you should be aware that your details will be passed to us without being encrypted.

Please take the utmost care whenever you visit our, or any other e-commerce site and, in particular, make sure that nobody is able to obtain your password (if you use one). We accept most major credit and debit cards including Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Delta, Switch, Solo, and Visa Electron. Currently we do not accept Diners Card.

At Wooden Ties, you are only charged for goods once the items ordered have been dispatched from the warehouse. If there are any items on your order, which are not in stock, you will not be charged for them until we actually ship them to you. You will be advised by e-mail (or telephone if you do not have an e-mail address) if we are unable to complete your order.
